Chemnitz in the shadow of the neo -Nazis: A look back into the 90s
In the latest season of the documentary series "Springer boots", Hendrik Bolz and Don Pablo Mulemba examine the return of right -wing extremists in East Germany. The two meet in Chemnitz to Ahmed, a migrant from 2015, who is talking about his considerations. The episodes show how young people increasingly slide into right -wing extremists. Personal stories are told, for example by a Zittauer, whose son has taken an extremist path, as well as a daughter of a Vietnamese contract worker who was faced with neo -Nazis in the nineties in the zero years.
The series investigates what happened since the turning time and whether violence in the region has ever disappeared completely. The conversations with a Tunisian who became victims of racist hunting hunts in Chemnitz are particularly revealing. "Springer boots" aims to understand the causes of the recycling right -wing extremist ideologies. Further details and all episodes are available in the ARD audio, www.ndr.de reports .
