Border control in Bietingen: Fraudsters pay punishment and continue!

In early Monday morning, May 19, 2025, the federal police checked a 29-year-old Bulgarian citizen at the Bietingen border crossing. There was an open enforcement recruitment order from the Krefeld public prosecutor, who was issued in March 2024 for fraud. He had not yet paid a fine of 1,200 euros.

In good time before an impending imprisonment, the man was able to pay the outstanding sum on site and then continued his trip without further complications. A dramatic incident at the border ended lightly for the attentive traveler!
