In the Northern Black Forest football district, the over-40 district championship is just around the corner. The competition will take place on the sports field in Nordstetten on June 21, 2025. The games start at 4 p.m., with the final kicking off at 7:50 p.m. A total of seven teams have announced their participation, but not a single one from the Calw district will be represented. This is particularly unfortunate because the regional teams have always thrilled their fans in previous years. A report from Black Forest messenger summarizes the situation.
The group breakdown is as follows: Group A includes SG Rexingen/Dettingen, SG Talheim and TSF Dornhan, while Group B consists of ASV Nordstetten, SSV Dettensee, Spvgg Freudenstadt and the Altheim/Grünmettstetten/Dettlingen/Bittelbronn syndicate. The top two teams in each group qualify for the semi-finals. The playing time is 15 minutes on a small pitch, and exciting penalty shootouts decide third and fifth places.
Successful season in the region
Altheim-Grünmettstetten could have won the title with a win and a three-goal difference, but the players couldn't rise above themselves. Despite the narrow defeat, SG Talheim celebrated an outstanding 9-2 win against Spvgg Freudenstadt and thus secured a respectable third place behind Baisingen and Altheim. Particular attention was paid to the organizer Martin Stede, who put a lot of effort into ensuring that the game evening was a celebration for all teams. A barbecue rounded off the day and contributed to the excellent atmosphere.

The return of the teams for the next round of the championship next year is causing optimism among those responsible and fans.
