RADIOSIEGEL 2025: 34 stations honored for top training in radio!
On December 5, 2025, the 9th Radio Network Day in Frankfurt am Main was characterized by exemplary training quality. On this festive occasion it was RADIO SEAL 2025 awarded, an award that honors private radio stations for their outstanding training of volunteers. The initiative highlights broadcasters who train their young talent at a high level, not only theoretically but also practically.
An independent jury consisting of experienced media professionals was tasked with selecting the best channels. This year, 34 private radio stations received the coveted award. What is particularly noteworthy is that the nomination was made directly by the volunteers themselves, who incorporated their experiences into the decision. This ensures an authentic picture of the training conditions in the broadcasters.

Quality and future of training
The aim of the RADIOSIEGEL is not only to focus on training conditions, but also to permanently increase the quality of private radio. The initiative, which includes the state media authorities, the German Journalists' Association, the Grimme Institute and the Journalism Network, is committed to sustainably improving journalism training. This commitment is particularly evident in the areas of journalistic craftsmanship, multimedia skills and journalistic ethics, which are all important criteria when awarding the seal, as well as on the website radiosiegel.de can be read.
Another highlight of the event was the networking, which offered broadcasters and participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from each other. Ultimately, the focus is on promoting young journalists, which will be of great importance for both broadcasters and listeners in the future.
The nomination period for the next award begins on March 10th and ends on April 11th, 2025, so that the volunteers will soon have the opportunity to nominate their stations themselves for the next round of the RADIOSIEGEL.
Overall, the awarding of the RADIOSIEGEL 2025 not only shows that private radio stations are prepared to invest in the training of their employees, but also that there is a strong community in the industry that is committed to quality and innovation in radio. The future of private broadcasting therefore seems secure, and the connection between theory and practice is a clear winner.
