HSG Blomberg-Lippe meets challengers Göppingen: The showdown is imminent!

On Saturday, November 2nd, HSG Blomberg-Lippe will compete in the EWS Arena in Göppingen. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. and the game can be followed on Dyn and Sporteurope.TV. After two recent wins against HSG Bensheim/Auerbach and Sport-Union Neckarsulm, the Blomberg women are traveling with a lot of self-confidence. They are currently leaders and last season they won both the away game in Göppingen and won their home game with a clear 34:22 in front of over a thousand spectators. The Steinheim News reported that the HSG used a longer break to regenerate, which is important for the players as there are still challenging games ahead.

The opponents from Göppingen suffered a narrow defeat 28:29 against Sport-Union Neckarsulm in their last game after they were already behind 10:19 at halftime. New to the team is Haruno Sasaki, who has scored seven goals so far and is third in the top scorers list. In addition, their goalkeeper Celina Meißner has extended her contract, which provides additional stability in the team.

The challenge in Göppingen

But it doesn't get any easier for HSG Blomberg-Lippe. Coach Melanie Veith made it clear that the game in Göppingen was a challenge. She emphasizes the need to stay focused throughout the entire season in order to successfully master the next steps in this important season.

The next steps

After the game in Göppingen, the Blomberger women will face the cup quarter-finals and qualify for the EHF European League. It is important not to waste any time and to defend the form we have gained in these games. HSG Blomberg-Lippe has shown a good hand so far and is in high demand for the current season.
