Bechtle AG: Ebert becomes designated CEO – future secured until 2028!
In the world of family businesses, Bechtle has today taken a decisive step into the future. The Supervisory Board of Bechtle AG has extended Konstantin Ebert's management contract early by three years until December 31, 2028. This negative development shows that Bechtle is preparing for the period after CEO Dr. Thomas Olemotz, who will remain in office until the end of 2026. Ebert, who has been with the company since 2021, will be appointed as the designated successor.
The formal decision to appoint Ebert will be made on February 4, 2026. From January 1, 2024, Ebert will act as COO on the Group Executive Board, bringing with him the extensive experience he has gained in various European markets. With responsibility for numerous countries such as France, Belgium and Portugal, Ebert is well equipped to further advance the group. His career began in 1998 at ITC Germany, followed by pioneering positions at TeamViewer and NetApp.
A change at the top
Dr. Thomas Olemotz, who has been with Bechtle since 2007, will hand over his duties to Christian Jehle as CFO from January 1, 2026. Olemotz has led the company through numerous transformation processes and has been CEO since 2010. Under his leadership, Bechtle has made great progress not only in Germany but also internationally.
In his new role, Ebert will also work closely with the international sales team, which specializes in developing tailored sourcing strategies. Bechtle's locations in 14 countries, combined with an efficient logistics network, offer customers not only enormous diversity, but also efficient handling of IT procurement processes. The company attaches great importance to neutral advice and adapts the solutions individually to the needs of its customers.
Technological innovations
Another interesting aspect for the future is the integration of state-of-the-art technologies into Bechtle's business strategy. This also includes systems that aim to accelerate and optimize procurement processes. With a special online procurement system, Bechtle wants to minimize the time and costs for companies while at the same time enabling optimal use of international framework agreements.
With this strategic personnel policy and the new technologies, Bechtle is well positioned to continue to act as a leading company in the IT industry in the coming years. The ambitions are high, and it will be exciting to see how the changes in corporate management will affect the company's further steps.
