This week the DFL set the first matchdays of the new Bundesliga season. The 63rd season of the Bundesliga begins on August 22nd and the opening game will be an exciting classic: FC Bayern Munich meets RB Leipzig. Kick-off is at 8:30 p.m. in the Allianz Arena in Munich. The following Sunday, 1. FSV Mainz 05 welcomes 1. FC Köln in the first home game of the season.
1. FSV Mainz 05 will also enter the Europa Conference League play-offs on Thursday before their league game, while VfB Stuttgart will start the Bundesliga season on Saturday. On the Tuesday after the first matchday, the Swabians will play the DFB Cup game in Braunschweig.
International qualifications and the competition
