In contrast, the CDU has concerns about the financial situation and questions the willingness of non-commuting cyclists to pay. The SPD supports the project, but demands clear information about the operating costs.

In addition, the Free Voters have expressed concerns about the acceptance of the project, while the Young Forum is calling for renegotiations with the railways about the distribution of costs. The FDP, on the other hand, would like to examine alternative options for submission and has requested that the decision be postponed. The Left List, which sees no need for further clarification, supports the project and criticizes the focus on financial self-sustainability.

Project composition and further developments

The bicycle parking garage is part of a larger construction project that, in addition to the parking spaces, also includes a new row of shops, a public toilet and dining areas.
