The event took place both on the school lawn and in the gymnastics hall. The aim here was to complete different game stations. The children had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills by balancing, jumping rope and playing football. Experiences like these are not only a great opportunity to meet new school friends, but also to increase anticipation for class. The first and second graders also took part and shared the efforts with their younger classmates.
A variety of stations for an active day

At various stations, the children were able to slalom through cones, jump through tires and crawl through tunnels. The long jump and target throwing were also on the program and famously challenged the young aiming skills. The youngest participants had the opportunity to show their strengths in a relay race that promoted team spirit and fair competition. Betzold adds that...
A highlight was balancing on wooden beams and upturned benches, which required not only balance but also courage. The design of a throwing station with home-made slingshot balls made of chestnuts was particularly original. Here the children were able to become active themselves with a little creativity and craftsmanship.
