The 13th matchday of the Württemberg Association League last week provided numerous exciting encounters and really shook up the standings. SV Fellbach and TSV Weilimdorf had to admit defeat after thrilling games, while the teams from Dorfmerkingen and Schwäbisch Hall celebrated a late triumph.

It all started with the heart-stopping final between SV Fellbach and Holzhausen. Fellbach took an early lead in the 6th minute through Maximilian Bresic. But Holzhausen was unfazed and equalized shortly before half-time through Erind Zogu. In the second half, Lysander Skoda made it 2-1 for Holzhausen and thus secured the victory for his team.

Drama and turning points

In the game between Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen and TSV Oberensingen we also had to keep our nerve. Fabio Mango gave Dorfmerkingen the lead early in the 15th minute. Oberensingen responded through Simon Brandstetter, who equalized in the 50th minute. But the hosts showed fighting spirit and took the lead again through Daniel Nietzer in the 54th minute. Another exciting duel that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the last second.

Kicker reports a clear win for FSV Waiblingen against VfR Heilbronn. In an impressive performance, Waiblingen won 3-1. Demian Bernsee Villiers was the big hero of the game with a brace (29th and 69th minutes) as well as another goal from Fabian Kolb, which made the score 3-0. A late goal from Robin Dörner for Heilbronn came too late to influence the result.

The Tübingen Fortress

TSG Tübingen was able to convince at home and secured three important points against TSG Hofherrnweiler-Unterrombach. Henoch Grauer gave Tübingen the lead in the 57th minute, followed by Philipp Biermann, who made the final score 2-0 in the 84th minute. An important victory to underline your own ambitions in the league.

The game between FC Esslingen and VfB Friedrichshafen also ended without goals. Both teams showed a committed performance, but were unable to implement any dangerous actions. The spectators had to be content with a goalless draw.

There was a lot of excitement in the game between FC Rottenburg and Calcio Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Rottenburg had to admit defeat 2:3 after they were able to reduce the score to 1:2 in the 60th minute despite being behind by Nick Heberle. But the guests were undeterred and increased to secure victory.

The end of the match day was the duel between TSV Weilimdorf and Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall, which also heated up emotions. Weilimdorf took the lead in the 5th minute through Andrew Addo, only to give the game away as the game progressed. Schwäbisch Hall turned the game around with two goals in the second half, which was decided by a late winning goal from Benjamin Kurz in stoppage time.

In the overall table, the leaders Young Boys Reutlingen remain at the top, while TSV Berg has shortened the gap thanks to this matchday. Things remain exciting in the league – the next few weeks promise even more football highlights.
