Pop-Up in Amberg: Interior design and art in a creative duet!

On June 24, 2025, an exciting pop-up event will start in the Amberg city laboratory: “Where living spaces are created: interior design meets draftsmanship”. Organized by the experienced interior designer Heike-Anna Englhard, the event offers the opportunity to intensively engage with the connection between interior design and art until July 5th. Not only is the creative potential of interior design highlighted, but the art is also presented in the form of detailed drawings. As oberpfalzecho.de reports, the offers also include individual initial consultations, insights into creative interior design and a competition for housing advice.

Heike-Anna Englhard, who grew up in the Upper Palatinate and has a diploma in interior design from the HAWK in Hildesheim, supports visitors with over 20 years of experience. Her passion for interior design is evident not only in her projects, but also in her enthusiasm for artistic creation. The exhibition includes, among other things, garden pond plans, reception areas and even a diploma model of a redevelopment area that offers a visionary view of the Amberg area behind the hospital church.

Insight into creativity

The event provides a platform for aspiring interior designers and graphic designers who want to realize their ideas and visions. Englhard also invites craft businesses, interior decorators and planners to explore the possibilities of cooperation. During the event, visitors can not only learn a lot about creative approaches to interior design, but also take part in a competition that includes a two-hour housing consultation in the Amberg area.

The presentation of Englhard's drawings - in pencil and watercolor - will be a highlight. These can not only be seen as part of the exhibition, but are also available as postcards and art prints. Her work offers a unique insight into the connection between art and interior design and is a great souvenir.

The path to individual design

The role of interior designers, as described on houzz.de, is crucial for the design and redesign of living and working spaces. Regardless of whether it is an old or new building, the focus is on planning and implementing individual wishes for design and functionality.

Interior designers work closely with architects and craft businesses and ensure that the lighting design, room acoustics and the selection of the right materials are optimally tailored to the spatial effect. There are over 5,900 interior designers in Germany, many of whom, like Englhard, work freelance and thus face the special challenges and wishes of their customers.

So if you're planning to redesign your home or are simply curious about creative design, you shouldn't miss this event. Maybe there will be an opportunity to take one or two ideas home with you for your own four walls!
