Tractor trailer tips over: 30 cubic meters of wood chips on the road!
A remarkable incident in the Ansbach district caused a stir. On Saturday afternoon, August 16, 2025, a tractor driver was apparently traveling a little too fast when a dramatic event occurred. At around 5:25 p.m., the 18-year-old drove his trailer from a land consolidation path onto state road 2412. He did not adjust his speed and the trailer and its load overturned in a curve, which caused chaos on the road that could cause damage. As InFranken reports, there were around 30 cubic meters of wood chips in the trailer.
These wood chips, together with the leaking operating fluids, caused unsightly dirt on the road. The fire department had to arrive to defuse the situation and recover the trailer. The damage to the road surface amounted to around 150 euros, while the amount of material damage to the trailer remains unclear. The road had to be closed for around an hour for repair work and rescue, which led to traffic delays.
An incident that needs attentive ears
Some magazines are keen to report on such events in order to help prevent similar incidents in the future. In a world where the headlines often contain entertainment, it's easy to overlook the importance of keeping safety on the roads top of mind.
