FC Augsburg has its hands full preparing optimally for the upcoming 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Today, June 13, 2025, the club announced the dates for summer preparation. The official start of training will take place on Monday, July 7th, before the first performance tests and medical examinations begin. How fcaugsburg.de reported, the first training units and their public presentation will be communicated in good time.
After the start of the training week, the first two test matches are also on the program. On Saturday, July 12th, the game will be against TSV Gersthofen in the TSV Arena at 2:00 p.m., followed by another duel on July 19th against SC Austria Lustenau, which will open the new Reichshofstadion. Training camp in Austria
A special highlight in the summer preparation will be the training camp in Kollerschlag, Austria, which will take place from July 26th to August 2nd. Here the players have the opportunity to prepare for the challenges of the coming season in an optimal environment. At a time when many Bundesliga clubs are planning a similar approach, it is particularly important for Augsburg to get used to it and prepare for the new season in the best possible way. The new Bundesliga season, the 62nd in the league's history, starts on August 22, 2025 with the opening game in which Borussia Mönchengladbach takes on Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The first round of the DFB Cup will take place from August 15th to 18th and will be an exciting challenge for the clubs.[3]
