Things are going to get really literary in Bamberg in the coming days. An exciting one will take place on December 2nd, 2025Book recommendation eveningwith Prof. Dr. Andrea Bartl. Under the motto “Exquisite: Which book should I give as a gift for Christmas?” the professor of modern German literature gives recommendations for Christmas presents in book form. The event starts at 6 p.m. in the ETA Hoffmann Theater, and due to high demand, an additional date is being offered at 8 p.m., but it is already fully booked. Interested reading fans can reserve free tickets for the 6 p.m. event directly at the theater box office.

The book recommendation evening will be followed by an exciting one on December 3, 2025Book presentationwith reading. Martin Neubauer presents the work “The Fall of Adams,” written by Hans Wollschläger and edited by Thomas Körber and Nico Prelog. This event, which will take place at 6 p.m. in the University of Bamberg, lecture hall U5/00.24, will highlight the story of the writer Michael Adams, who returned from exile in the 1950s. The first presentation of the unpublished version of the novel “Herzgewächse” also promises special attention.

Christmas concert and other events
