Rector Reese shines: 10th place at the DHV ranking 2025!
Siegen, Deutschland - Prof. Dr. Stefanie Reese, Rector of the University of Siegen, made tenth place in the election for the "Rector 2025" of the German University Association (DHV). In this survey, 84 percent of the participants made a positive assessment. The election is carried out annually among the members of the DHV and includes rectors and rectors who have received at least 30 reviews. Prof. Dr. Hauke Heekeren from the University of Hamburg and Prof. Dr. Birgitta Wolff from the University of Wuppertal completed the ranking in places four and five with grades of 1.93 and 2.06. The average grade of all rectors evaluated was 2.83, which corresponds to you "satisfactory plus". There were positive feedback in particular for the university lines, while critical feedback on those in the back ranks were expressed.
The DHV has over 33,500 members and is the central professional representative of the scientists in Germany. The results of this survey are published in the March issue of the specialist journal "Research & Teaching". The award for Prof. Dr. Manfred Bayer will be awarded in Berlin as part of the gala of German science on March 31, 2025.
