New chairman Glashauser: Deggendorf referee group is changing!

On October 24, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Deggendorf referee group took place at the Gasthof Zwickl in Seebach, an important event that not only sets the sporting course for the future, but also promotes exchange within the referee community. After four successful years, the outgoing chairman Florian Steininger handed over his office to the new chairman Tobias Glashauser from FC Wallersdorf, who was elected unanimously. However, Steininger, who no longer stood for election due to professional and time constraints, will continue to assume responsibility at the district level. His term of office was characterized by the sporting and comradely development of the group, which he emphasized in his review. The PNP reports that shared successes were also toasted during the farewell conversation.

The meeting, which was chaired by Robert Fischer, the district referee, was also able to welcome important guests. Harald Haase, the head of football for Lower Bavaria, as well as Matthias Braun, Tina Ilg, Stefan Dorfner and Daniel Linsmeier from the district referee committee came to give the referees their greetings on the occasion of the new elections. The BFV adds that Markus Eglseder, the teaching supervisor, is leaving the group work, but remains active at the district level.

New team takes charge

In his inaugural speech, Tobias Glashauser placed high demands on teamwork and passion in refereeing. His motto “Preserve tradition, strengthen community and shape the future” will shape the group’s work in the future. At his side is a motivated team made up of the following members:

  • Katharina Schwitz (Beisitzerin)
  • Michael Erndl (Beisitzer)
  • Anton Stettmer (Lehrwart)
  • Felix Kainz (stv. Lehrwart)
  • Michael Weinzierl (Kassier)
  • Maximilian Riedl (Schriftführer)
  • Daniel Hühmer (Einteiler)

These changes in the referee group are not just a question of new appointments, but also a sign of the need to promote young talent and bring a breath of fresh air into the organization. The PNP highlights that the new chairman and his team are aware of the challenges that need to be overcome in the coming period.

In conclusion, it remains to be said that the annual general meeting of the Deggendorf referee group sent a signal for cohesion and the continuous development of refereeing in Lower Bavaria. Discussions about how to further strengthen the refereeing position will certainly be the focus of the next meetings.
