Dingolfing roundabout patrol: Safety is now the focus at meetings!
The annual general meeting of the Dingolfing district traffic police took place on Tuesday evening, October 30, 2025, in the esteemed “Gasthof zur Post”. Numerous members, guests of honor and representatives from politics, business and the police celebrated an evening that was all about road safety. Of course, particular attention was paid to the election of the new board, which brought with it some personnel changes.
The meeting elected Maria Huber and Werner Bumeder to the new board. Heinz Gillig, who already enjoys great trust, remains chairman of the district traffic watch and is actively supported by Jenni Kadletz, who is taking over the office of treasurer from Wolfgang Wittek. In times when safety on our roads is becoming increasingly important, such new elections show that the commitment of members is highly valued.
Honors and reports
In addition to the new elections, the honorable memory of deceased members was also on the agenda, which underlines the cohesion in the organization. On September 18, 2025, an annual general meeting of the Kelheim district traffic police took place in the Weisses Brauhaus, which also provided an insight into the activities of the past year. Those present could look forward to a comprehensive agenda item: the annual activity report for 2024 as well as current financial reports.
These events demonstrate the efforts of the traffic guards to sustainably promote public awareness of traffic safety. The increase in membership fees and possible changes to the statutes were also discussed, which emphasizes the words of those responsible that the organization always wants to act in a future-oriented manner.
A call for participation
The district traffic watchdog invites its members to get actively involved. Applications for the agenda can be submitted to the office no later than one week before the meeting. This ensures that the voices of all members are heard and creates a lively discussion that benefits everyone.
In times when road safety should be a top priority, the commitment of such organizations is even more important. Here in Dingolfing and also in Kelheim it is clear that these joint efforts to make our roads safer play an extremely important role. The work carried out and the planning of future projects by the district traffic patrol are key factors in ensuring safety for all road users. However the issues develop, member participation remains the key to success.
