Sports badge day in Ebersberg: Experience your sporting adventure!

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, it's that time again - the BLSV Sportkreis Ebersberg and TSV Ebersberg invite you to the sports badge day! From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., sports-loving participants can put their sporting skills to the test in the Ebersberg Forest Sports Park and acquire the German Sports Badge. This event is not only exciting for competitive athletes, but also for anyone who tests their fitness and enjoys exercise.

In order to optimally prepare for the sports badge, two special swimming tests are offered. The first dates will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Grafing outdoor pool and on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Ebersberg indoor pool. This is an excellent opportunity to develop the swimming skills required to earn the sports badge.

Services and requirements

The German Sports Badge is awarded by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and recognizes above-average physical performance in the areas of endurance, strength, speed and coordination. It's worth getting a taste of the different disciplines, because the award is not only given to adults aged 18 and over, but also to children and young people aged 6 and over. The award takes place with a certificate and is therefore a real piece of jewelry for the wall!

The requirements for the provision of services are clearly defined: men and women can acquire the badge without joining a club. This is another arrow in the quiver for anyone who wants to be active in sports. It is particularly important to provide proof of swimming skills that each participant must provide. There are special conditions for people with disabilities, which are described in the manual “German Sports Badge for People with Disabilities”. So there is something for every person!

News and adjustments

The sports community expects some innovations from 2025. There will be an expanded service catalog for the strength group, which includes, among other things, videos for various exercises such as push-ups and pull-ups. The German Disabled Sports Association has provided helpful information on the performance requirements for people with disabilities on its website so that everyone has the chance to take part in this great event.

To improve transparency, a printing error in the service catalog has been corrected. The correct value for the bronze certificate in walking/Nordic walking for women in the age group of 90 years and over will now be 110:20 minutes, as deutsches-sportabzeichen.de reports. This means that all athletes can now plan even more precisely!

Helmut Dusch, the sports badge speaker, and his team are available for further information and details about the events in Ebersberg. You can reach him by email at helmutdusch@web.de or by phone at 0171 5252144. Of course, you can also take a look at the [German Sports Badge] website (https://www.deutsches-sportabzeichen.de), where all materials and information are clearly available.

The event promises a day full of exercise, motivation and community sport - so be sure to stop by and take part! There's something there and everyone can awaken their inner athlete!
