Genie on stage: Bavarian comedy in the open-air summer!
Things will be particularly magical this summer in picturesque Rapperszell: the Waltinger amateur players are bringing the piece “Lampengeist” to the open-air stage. With a colorful mix of oriental elements and Bavarian comedy, the production promises an entertaining experience for young and old. The premiere will take place on Friday, July 4th, at 7 p.m. at the Blombauernhof. So if you're looking for a fun evening, you should get your tickets in time!
The plot revolves around the widow Emma Stieler, who, through accidental contact with an old oil lamp from her daughter Carola's trip to the Orient, frees a mysterious lamp genie named Constantin. Emma, played by Karin Glaßner, receives three wishes in return. But she distrusts the young man, whom Carola's friend Thorsten (Christian Strauss) brings into the house through the lamp, and immediately starts to worry that he could be behind the ghost phenomenon. But the genie also has his own plans and wants true love to play a decisive role in his liberation.
Wishes, confusions and a little love
The zeitgeist of the piece is underscored by various characters, all of whom approach Constantin with their own wishes. Whether it's neighbor Ilse (Sigi Bauer) or Emma's secret admirer Alfons (Alfred Stübler) - everyone has their own agenda. Things become particularly interesting when Emma begins to fall in love with Alfons after he accidentally touches the lamp. It quickly becomes clear: love and wishes intertwine in a funny way and make the audience smile.
The director is the experienced Peter Glaßner, whose creative flair has brought many plays to the stage over the last 25 years. “Lampengeist” is now the 25th performance since 1989 and offers a welcome mix of tradition and new interpretation. The entire ensemble rehearses diligently to delight the visitors with an outstanding performance.
Reservations and snacks on site
Tickets are easy to get for the performances on July 4th, 5th, 12th and 13th. What is particularly noticeable is that the performance on July 12th is already sold out! The guests' physical well-being is also well taken care of, so that nothing stands in the way of a relaxing evening.
