Erding Jazz Days: A musical excerpt through jazz history!
A fiery concert by the KMS Jazz Ensemble & Friends will delight fans on November 8, 2025 in the Erding Museum. Under the motto “The History of Jazz,” the musicians took the audience into the diverse world of jazz. This event takes place as part of the popular Erding Jazz Days, which puts the local music scene in the right light.
The talented band members all contributed to the unique atmosphere of the evening. Alexandrina Simeon, the charismatic singer, not only mastered the singing parts, but also led through the program, which featured all kinds of classics. She was supported by Daniel Eberhard on piano and saxophone, Gabriel Keogh on trumpet and flugelhorn, Max Pfaff on guitar, Johannes Ochsenbauer on bass and Michael Keul on drums. Together they created a melodious mix that captivated the listeners.
A varied program
The concert was a colorful potpourri of gospels and spirituals, blues and jazz standards as well as Latin jazz. To the delight of the audience, famous pieces such as “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” and “Blue Moon” were played. Songs like “Light My Fire” and a funky ABBA hit were also used. As a special encore, the band presented “Polka Dots and Moonbeams”, which Alexandrina Simeon vividly compared to George Gershwin’s classic “Summertime” - a real highlight of the evening.
Cultural advisor Ludwig Kirmair took the opportunity to emphasize the special importance of the local jazz scene. Jazz not only brings people together, but also enlivens Erding's cultural landscape.
