Altenerding Young Farmers' Association celebrates 75 years of tradition with a festival week!
The week of celebrations commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Altenerding Young Farmers' Association began today. An event that excites not only the members but also the entire community. Mayor Max Gotz opened the celebrations with a traditional beer tapping in the well-filled festival tent on the B388, which will offer a varied program until June 22nd. This week is a true celebration of community that celebrates cultural customs and traditions, as described by Merkur.
The Altenerding Young Farmers' Association, which has over 780 members, including around 120 children, has established itself as one of the clubs with the largest number of members in the Erding region. David and Goliath impressed during the celebrated folk dance - the young dancers enthusiastically presented the classic folk dances, such as the seven-step and the crown dance. The cohesion within the young farmers becomes clear, which is also highlighted by chairman Josef Fehlberger.

A look back at history
The young farmers' association was founded on January 3, 1950 - in the kitchen of the "Meingerhof" in Altenerding, initiated by Alfons Bauschmid and Hans Scheidl. The initial goal was to bring together rural youth to further their education and maintain old traditions. This tradition continues to this day because the young farmers know how to keep old customs alive. The upcoming traditional farm wedding, which is celebrated every ten years, had its last edition in January 2024.
The young farmers thus contribute to the preservation and maintenance of regional identity and culture, an aspect that the Kultur-und-Natur-Blog also emphasizes. The festivals provide a platform for social interaction between generations and promote social cohesion in the community.
So for the next few days it's time to get to the festivities! Amid the cheers and costumes, the community will continue to experience how tradition and modern life go hand in hand. The Altenerding Young Farmers' Association will remain a beacon in the city's club culture in the future.
