On Saturday morning, July 5, 2025, a strange car accident occurred in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district that ended with a minor injury. At around 9:50 a.m., an older man driving a disabled vehicle lost control while pulling out of a parking space and landed his car in the nearby small pond. The reasons for his loss of control are currently unclear, as inFranken reports. The man, a wheelchair user, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Baiersdorf fire department and a towing company were deployed for the rescue work. The rapid intervention of the emergency services prevented anything from getting worse and ensured that the situation was quickly brought under control. A worrying example that once again shows how important road safety is in our region.
