Spieli plays a draw after a heated duel against Wacker – all the highlights!

An exciting duel took place on the pitch today between “Spieli” and Wacker, which not only got the spectators excited. The game started with a bang: in the 5th minute, Danilo Steshakov put “Spieli” in the lead with a clever finish prepared by Fabian Schweiker. But the joy didn't last long, because just four minutes later Wacker equalized thanks to a mistake by goalkeeper Pascal Broja, after a shot from Gumann, which caused quite a stir in the defense.

The “Spieli” team managed to sit back and restore their lead. In the 14th minute, Fabian Schweiker was fouled in the penalty area and Piero Gizzarelli-Rivas stepped up to the spot to convert the penalty to make it 2-1. However, this did not completely end an exciting first half. Wacker pushed for the equalizer and put a lot of pressure on “Spieli”, especially through Dreßendörfer, who constantly caused unrest in the defense.

A drama in the first half

In the 38th minute there was turmoil on the pitch. A handball in the penalty area caused a lot of excitement, and the consequences were severe: two time penalties were given, as well as a red card for the “Spieli” dugout. The order in the game seemed to be a little lost and tempers ran high.

The second half began with a different presence from “Spieli”. Although they created a few chances, the ball didn't find its way into the net. In the 60th minute, Fabian Schweiker brought new hope for “Spieli” with his goal to make it 3-1. But Wacker didn't give up; In the 70th minute, Timo Müller converted a penalty and reduced the score to 3-2.

An open exchange of blows until the end

With this result, “Spieli” remains in 4th place in the table. The next challenges are already ahead: an away game against SGV 83 Nürnberg-Fürth and the subsequent home game against SC Germania Nürnberg. Football in Cologne remains exciting and the fans can look forward to more!
