Fortunately, the perpetrators did not manage to get into the buildings, but they did cause minor damage to the doors. Two men were also captured on video behaving suspiciously in a private garden on Friday night. The men were wearing softshell jackets, one with a hood and one with a hat, leading police to suspect they were scouting properties for future break-ins. Even if no damage has been reported so far, there are several citizens who have noticed signs of break-ins on business premises and private homes. This represents the highest level since 2019, but the number remains over 50% lower than in 2015. Bavaria is considered the state with the lowest risk of burglaries, while the highest rates are in cities such as Mülheim an der Ruhr. In urban federal states, the risk is particularly high when it comes to the safety of residents. Given the current situation, it is essential for citizens to take safety precautions. This includes always closing windows, lowering shutters and locking doors well to protect yourself from potential burglars. Stay vigilant and inform the police if you see anything suspicious!
