Freising's talents conquer Bavaria: Dominik Reisch becomes champion!
The Bavarian athletics scene is currently reporting on impressive achievements by LC Freising. The Bavarian Championships in the block competition, which took place on May 24th and 25th in Pfaffenhofen, were the scene for outstanding successes. Dominik Reisch triumphed in the M14 age group in the block run and secured the championship title with 2585 points merkur.de reported. With this performance he catapulted himself to second place on the German list of the best in his age group, a solid proof of his talent.
But Reisch's success is not the only reason for joy for LC Freising. Moritz Reger, who was back on the competition stage after a year out due to injury, also delivered a strong performance in the sprint/jump block. With 2317 points he took sixth place and was able to achieve personal bests in the individual disciplines. Reger ran the 100 meters in 12.97 seconds and jumped an impressive 4.25 meters in the long jump. His return to competition not only excites him, but also his coach Gaby Hagl, who always keeps a close eye on the development of her athletes.
Impressive details of the championships
The championships offered all athletes optimal conditions, despite initial weather warnings. Dominik Reisch demonstrated his versatility after improving his personal best to 12.40 seconds in the 100-meter dash, finishing just behind Marlon Pabst, whose time was 12.33 seconds.
Particularly noteworthy was his victory in the 80-meter hurdles, which he completed in 12.29 seconds - even though a fall during the warm-up wasn't exactly in his hands. Reisch also showed that he wants to aim high in the long jump when he achieved the best value in the field with 5.31 meters, followed by a personal best in the ball throw with 56.50 meters and an impressive 2000 meter run, which he finished with 6:47.91 minutes, beating his best time by over 20 seconds.
A look at the upcoming events
The enthusiasm in LC Freising is great, especially since the athletes are already expecting the next challenges. The BayernCup, which will take place on May 29th in Donauwörth, is just around the corner, and the German Championships in July are also getting closer. These championships are a big goal for many athletes and an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, not only individually, but also in team competitions, which brought numerous successes in the age groups for the U6 to U12.
Athletics is not just a passion in Freising, it is now an integral part of local life. The upcoming events promise more great experiences for athletes and spectators. These successes are not just triumphs in performance, they are also signs of a vibrant community that fights together for top sporting achievements. We are excited to see how the young athletes at LC Freising will continue to develop!
