Young, dynamic, ready to vote: Tobias Weiskopf is fighting for the district office!

A lot is happening in the Freising district council: On November 7, 2025, the FDP district executive unanimously nominated Tobias Weiskopf as a district administrator candidate for the local elections in 2026. The 27-year-old, the youngest member of the district council, wants to seek the office for the second time. Weiskopf first ran for the Free Democrats in 2020 and has not only gained political experience since then, but has also distinguished himself as a committed representative of the young generation.

What drives Weiskopf? Improving digital equipment in schools and optimizing school bus transport are at the top of his agenda. He has currently launched a bus survey to determine the need for action in public transport after many parents and students expressed their concerns. “I would like to use my experience from project management of large infrastructure projects to carry out district administration tasks responsibly,” emphasizes Weiskopf, who is currently involved in a large-scale construction project.

Central concerns and goals

Weiskopf has set clear priorities in his political work. These include:

Weiskopf describes the financial situation in the district as “disastrous” and points out that more and more tasks are being delegated to the municipalities, while the amount of the district's reserves remains unclear. Annual financial statements have been missing for 15 years, making it impossible to get a clear view of the finances. “It is crucial that we have proper finances in order to prevent the increasing district levy, which deprives the municipalities of a lot of money,” he explains.

Commitment beyond politics

The Allershausen native is not only politically active, but also involved in sports. He is an active member of TSV Allershausen and the district youth ring and is committed to sports as a triathlete, including taking part in the Ironman Hamburg 2025. This is evidence of his dynamic nature and his ability to show personal discipline and commitment.

Timo Ecker, the district chairman of the FDP, praised Weiskopf's achievements to date and sees a lot of potential in his candidacy. On November 28, 2025, a selection meeting will take place in Allershausen, at which the district council list will be drawn up in addition to the district council candidate. Citizens can be curious to see what fresh ideas and perspectives Tobias Weiskopf would like to bring to politics in the coming years.
