Museum Night in the Goldener Steig: A feast for the senses!
The Night of the Museums in Waldkirchen is attracting more and more visitors. On October 28, 2025 it was that time again: The Local history and museum association under the direction of Christian Seidel organized an atmospheric museum night in the “Goldener Steig” museum. Together with Beate Seidel, Andrea Lang and Heidi Hohenwarter, they ensured that visitors had an unforgettable time in the museum.
As soon as the doors were opened, the rooms quickly filled with interested people who wanted to marvel at the many exhibits. The museum, which was founded on June 20, 1980 with the aim of establishing a city museum, has developed over the years into a popular place for culture and historical education. The local history and museum association has made it its mission to continually expand the permanent exhibition and acquire new exhibits.
Insights into history and culture
The “Goldene Steig” opened in 1987 and has continued to develop ever since. In addition to the presentation of historical objects, there were also creative events that underline the association's commitment to local heritage. For example, comprehensive digitization measures were carried out between 2019 and 2022 to secure the stocks for the future.
The Museum Night is part of a series of cultural events that take place throughout Germany. The Long Night of the Museums has established itself in many cities and attracts those interested in culture to spend the night in museums with special programs. On November 2, 2025, Cologne will also experience a museum night that will feature live events and exhibitions.
The board of the local history and museum association consists of experienced members who are passionate about the culture of their city. Christian Seidel, active as first chairman, supports the continuous development and preservation of the museum.
These events show how important it is to preserve cultural heritage and make it accessible to the population. The Museum Night in Waldkirchen is a good example of how culture comes to life and brings people together.
