Olching will receive a luxurious wellness oasis: construction will begin in 2025!

A remarkable new building is becoming reality in Olching: The Vabali spa chain is planning its first wellness oasis in southern Germany. The project in the Geiselbullach industrial area, which is estimated to have a total cost of around 60 million euros, is already taking shape. How Mercury According to reports, the approval process is in its final stages and construction work is scheduled to begin this year, so the spa is scheduled to open in 2027.

A variety of amenities are planned. The spa will include 13 saunas, four steam rooms and four pools, both indoor and outdoor. There is also a lot on offer in terms of gastronomy: a restaurant, massage services and various relaxation areas are included in the concept. A hotel with 120 beds, from standard to luxury rooms, will also be built. Everything the heart of every wellness lover desires can be found in one place.

The location and social expectations

Local decision-makers are showing promise. Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD) and other city council members hope that the fun project will generate trade tax revenue of up to one million euros. This could contribute to further urban development, especially in the commercial area where the Vabali Oasis will be located. Nevertheless, there were also critical voices, such as Ewald Zachmann, who expressed concerns about settling in the industrial park. Tomas Bauer (CSU), on the other hand, described this as a “bogeyman” and supported the development plan, which also provides for bathing facilities for guests - although children are not allowed here, which is intended to ensure relaxing adult-only moments.

The spa's motto is “sanus per aquam” – healthy through water. This beneficial concern is exactly in tune with the times. More and more people are valuing wellness as a way to relieve stress and relax. Wellness hotels & resorts have observed the trend of health as a mega-trend in recent years, with the connection between wellness and relaxation particularly prominent. More and more guests are integrating wellness into their everyday lives.

Special features and access

The wellness oasis will impress not only with its offerings, but also with its orientation: access should only be granted to adults; cell phones and children are not allowed. The relaxing opening hours from morning to midnight as well as a dress code that allows for both a bathrobe and freedom of movement send clear signals for relaxation and retreat.

With entry prices starting at around 50 euros for a day ticket, the Vabali Spa also offers hourly access - depending on individual preference. The facility will also be connected to the Olching district heating network, even if the saunas cannot benefit from this.

Construction is expected to take no more than two and a half years. The people of Olching and all visitors to the region can soon expect a great wellness experience that could set new standards.
