It's that time again! The 75th Franconian Wine Festival will take place in Volkach from August 15th to 19th, 2025. The largest wine festival in Franconia awaits its visitors with a colorful mix of over 60 different Franconian wines from the picturesque region around the Mainschleife. This will be a festival not to be missed!
There will be special highlights this year without fireworks. Instead, you can look forward to an impressive “magic of lights” that magically underlines the nighttime atmosphere on the festival site. Every year the festival attracts between 50,000 and 60,000 visitors who can enjoy not only the wines but also the numerous culinary specialties.
The festival program
The program promises something for every taste. The festival opens its doors at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15th. It starts with a morning pint with theFranconian Swing Big Band. From 2:00 p.m., “The Franconian Friends” entertain guests with pure brass music, and in the evening the band provides entertainmentThe party robberswith a mix of Bavarian folk music and party-appropriate sound to set the mood. The highlight of the day is the entry of the wine nobility at 8:30 p.m., accompanied by the Volkach town band.
Saturday, August 16th, also starts at 2:00 p.m., with the Volkach town band, which enchants guests with music until 5:30 p.m. They heat up in the eveningFranconian boyas a party band to keep the mood going.
On Sunday things will be spiritual with an ecumenical service at 10:00 a.m., followed by a brass band breakfast and the traditionally festive anniversary parade at 3:00 p.m. The day is rounded off byThe Jets, which provide the best entertainment with rock, pop, funk and soul from 7 p.m.
A children's and family afternoon with lots of activities and a children's pageant is planned for Monday, August 18th from 2:00 p.m., in which the youngest can look forward to a pirate treasure show and face painting. The end of the festival is the atmosphere cannonBavaria mafia, which comes on stage at 7 p.m. before the new Volkacher magic lights enchant the evening at 10:30 p.m.

On the last day of the wine festival, Tuesday, August 19th, there is free entry from 6:00 p.m., which includes a beat eveningLost in tuneswill ensure a good mood. Some wine and snack stands are open, but the Fränkisch Lounge and the showman area remain closed.
