There will be a big celebration in Memmingen this year! From theJune 27th to 29th, 2025the city festival takes place in his50th anniversary editionunder the motto“We bring music to the city!”stands. A real highlight for everyone who wants to enjoy city life and the sociable atmosphere in the old town!
It starts on the first day, thatFriday June 27th. This is where the Krautstrasse car park is transformed5 p.minto a vibrant party zonePark & Rave. DJ duos like Collective Scheinwelt and Twin Bomb ensure the right atmosphere. Entry costs10 eurosand is for everyone16 yearsopen. Organizer Bastian Dörr, the youth representative for the Memmingen city council, put together a great evening together with the DJs.
The big city festival on the market square
TheSaturday June 28th, will be the main day of the city festival. Away10 O `clockThe market square is transformed into a festival area full of music and culinary delicacies. The traditionally festive tapping of the barrel takes place at11 a.mby Mayor Jan Rothenbacher. The Memmingen City Chapel opened with a lively concert by10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Performances by other bands follow, providing entertainment throughout the day.
Of course, physical well-being should not be neglected either. Specialties such as ox from the spit, Kässpatzen, Schupfnudeln and bratwurst round off the offering. There is also delicious beer Clemens Härle brewery from Leutkirch, which will be served for the first time at the city festival. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the event will simply be canceled5 p.minto the stadium hall.
A varied Sunday
OnSunday June 29th, an exciting mix awaits visitorsPark & PrayandPark & Jazzin the Krautstrasse parking garage. The beginning is um10 O `clocka devotion from the Evangelical Deanery of Memmingen with the motto“Pause”, followed by a white sausage breakfast, which is accompanied musically by the hot jazz revival band. A nice end to a great festival weekend.
With around45,919 inhabitants(as of December 31, 2023) and the well-known old town, Memmingen is the perfect place for such a lively event.
