Holzkirchen celebrates a clear 6-1 derby win against Miesbach in the district game!
The starting signal for the new ice hockey season in the District League South was given on October 26, 2025. In the eagerly awaited derby, ESC Holzkirchen clearly won 6-1 against TEV Miesbach 1b. The encounter took place in front of 147 spectators, who were able to experience an exciting match despite the clear result.
At the beginning of the game, ESC Holzkirchen surprised with a strong performance. After the first third they were already leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Benjamin Kustermann and Florian Dirigo. Holzkirchen's coach Sebastian Fottner was critical of his team's performance after the game and emphasized that the young Miesbach team fought hard. “We didn’t play a good game,” emphasized Fottner.

TEV Miesbach, who competed with four complete rows, tried to get into the game with full commitment. After the game, team captain Max Schweinsteiger spoke of numerous mistakes and too many penalties that made life difficult for the team.
