There's a lot going on in Nuremberg: an impressive real estate scam is currently causing a stir in the city. Police have arrested several suspects who committed fraud with fake real estate sales. In total, four perpetrators are said to have stolen around one million euros Infranken reported.

How did this scam come about? Two men aged 43 and 37 are at the center of the investigation. They presented fake land register extracts to a 61-year-old real estate dealer and thereby received urgently needed down payments from prospective buyers. That's not all: the real estate dealer transferred over a million euros to the perpetrators without ever receiving the promised properties. Plagued by justified suspicion, the injured party contacted the police in August 2025.

The arrests

When the officers finally arranged a meeting between the 61-year-old and the suspects, an unexpected escape attempt occurred. How Northern Bavaria Reportedly, the two men fled in the car of a 33-year-old woman. However, the police were not deterred, stopped the car and arrested the 43-year-old and the passenger. The 37-year-old perpetrator initially managed to escape, but was caught a few weeks later.

In the course of the extensive investigation carried out by the Nuremberg criminal police and the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office, a fourth suspect was identified. All four suspects now have to answer for fraud. The extent of the damage is considerable: in addition to the million withheld, the losses of other buyers add up.

The investigation continues

The investigation is far from over. During searches, the officers not only found evidence of the fake real estate sales, but also suspected stolen property. They also came across counterfeit gold coins and bars. These mysterious discoveries shed further light on the suspects' machinations.

History shows once again that extreme caution is required when conducting real estate transactions. Relying on fake documents can quickly lead to bitter disappointments. And while the perpetrators are brought to justice in Nuremberg, the question remains how many dubious businesses still operate in secret in this form.
