In a few weeks it will be colorful and musical again in Bad Windsheim, Franconia, when onSunday June 29, 2025, the36th edition of Folk Music Daycelebrated in the Franconian Open Air Museum. Organized by the Middle Franconia District Franconian Folk Music Working Group, the event promises to be a feast for the eyes and ears.
The day starts at10 O `clockon the village square, where around30 music groups from northern Bavariademonstrate their skills. Between the museum's rustic buildings, guests can experience Franconian culture up close. A highlight will be the “Zam playing for all musicians” organized by4 p.m. to 6 p.mtakes place in the entrance area. Children don't miss out either: there is one in the school building in PfaffenhofenSinging children's songs, while the audience in the Schwedenhaus from AlmoshofSinging with your peopleis invited.
Music, dance and Franconian tradition

In lovingly decorated historical buildings you can indulge in the sounds of the music groups and immerse yourself in the Franconian costume, which is particularly presented in one of the most prestigious stations.
The mayor of Bad Windsheim, district council presidentRichard Bartsch, will open the event. He highlights the special atmosphere of the festival, which is called “Marketplace of encounters" applies.
