On June 22, 2025, a very special anniversary will be celebrated in the parish of St. Martin: 25 years since the primacy of the priest who celebrated his first mass in his home parish after his ordination. The roots of St. Martin's Church go back to the 8th century, when it was consecrated to the Franconian national saint Martin of Tours. The church was originally founded as a burial place for the Guelphs by Welf IV in 1056 and replaced a previous Romanesque building. The St. Martin's Church is one of the most magnificent baroque churches in Germany and impresses with its monumental dimensions of 67 meters high and 102 meters long.
