FC Ruderting defies injuries and stays at the top of the table!
What moves the women's Bayernliga? On the 10th matchday, the FC Ruderting players played against SC Regensburg and had to be content with a 1-1 draw. But the mood couldn't be better as despite the draw they remain at the top of the table with a solid lead of six points. This also has a lot to do with the botched games of the pursuers FC Forstern and Würzburger Kickers, who both lost their games. This leaves the Ruderting team plenty of time to prepare for the next game.
The start could hardly have been better for Ruderting. Lisa Käser scored the opening goal in the 2nd minute, which was set up by a remarkable cross from Franziska Schwaiberger. But the joy didn't last long. In the 27th minute, Magdalena Biersack from Regensburg managed to equalize with an impressive free kick. From that moment on the game was very even, with few clear chances to score on both sides. The Ruderting goalkeeper Theresa Butscher then showed her skills and saved a heavy free kick over the crossbar.
Difficulties in the storm
Despite the strong start, Ruderting had to struggle with personnel difficulties in the offensive, which can be attributed to injured players. Butscher said after the game that the draw was as it went, but a win would definitely have been possible. All in all, the team is proud of their place at the top, even if they have to face their next opponents, TSV Schwaben Augsburg, with a less than complete line-up.

The game ended 0-0, with Ruderting II having the better opportunities in the first period, but Kirchberg was able to make things more balanced in the second period. The Ruderting II team is still optimistic and hopes for a win in the upcoming match against SV RW Überacker.
