Junior guard from Hollstadt impresses with a strong 3rd place in dance!
The juniors of TSV Hollstadt 1924 e.V. made an impressive appearance at their first qualifying tournament after a seven-year break. The event, which was organized by the Bund Deutscher Karneval (BDK) in Veitshöchheim, a well-known carnival stronghold in Bavaria, brought the girls to the big stage.
In a thrilling competition, the group, consisting of 26 talented dancers aged 11 to 14, achieved a high score and secured third place at the Lower Franconian show dance championships. Despite the fact that their costumes were not yet completely ready, they impressed in the category with their creativity, variety of movements and successful presentation. In addition to the costumes, the performance and choreography of the dance, which was designed with the motto “A light for all” and traced the story of Thomas Edison and the light bulb, were also assessed. This was the first BDK cup in the club's history and a great success for the young dancers.
A motivated look into the future
The juniors have set the bar high with this success and are now starting the rest of the tournament and performance season motivated. They will have their next chance to show their skills in March 2026, when the dance gala is coming up in Hollstadt. Dance enthusiasts are cordially invited to this event.
In the dance world there are a variety of disciplines that are judged at such large events. In addition to the classic categories, such as the Show Solo and the Show Duo, which are about conveying feelings through dance and harmonious interaction, there are also specialized formats. Character dances, freestyle and modern dancing offer the opportunity to express a wide variety of stories and themes through dance. The TSV Hollstadt group impressively demonstrated this with their performance.
A look outside the box
Large international competitions, such as the one held under the auspices of Danzamundial, show clear parallels in the spirit of the dance community. Dancers from all over the world are brought together here in various styles - from ballet to hip hop to folklore. The best dancers who qualify through national competitions can compete against each other and are awarded trophies, medals or cups. This shows how dance brings people together and creates a sense of community.
In conclusion, the juniors of TSV Hollstadt not only impressed with their team spirit and creativity, but also set an example for the continuation of their dance journey. We can't wait to see what the next season will bring!
