This new opening is part of a larger strategy aimed at increasing its presence in the region. The new branch at Bleichrasen 41 not only impresses with a bright and friendly shopping atmosphere, but also offers an extensive range.

In the new market, customers can look forward to around 120 fruit and vegetable items as well as a larger bakery display with around 40 different products. Promotional goods are also offered three times a week and over 1,800 items are permanently available. There was a competition with scratch cards for the first 100 visitors at the opening, and the main prize was a shopping voucher for 500 euros - that makes shopping twice as much fun!

But the new opening in Eisenach is only a small part of Aldi Nord's ambitions. The company achieved global sales of 112 billion euros in 2023, an increase of 8.7% compared to the previous year. This development is driven primarily by foreign activities, including the almost 100 new supermarkets that have already opened in Europe. Aldi even plans to open an additional 800 stores in the US by 2028 and is investing heavily in expanding its store network in the UK.

Nine specialists are also wanted for the new location in Eisenach to strengthen the team. In this way, Aldi shows that it is not only focusing on growth, but also on creating jobs in the region. The parking situation was also well thought out; There are wide parking spaces for people with disabilities as well as parent-child parking spaces. Anyone who prefers to come by bike or public transport will be happy: there are bicycle parking spaces and a bus stop called “Katharinenstraße” nearby.
