Nine couples celebrate 490 years of love in the Ering parish association!
Last weekend, nine couples gathered in the Ering parish association to celebrate their impressive marriage anniversaries in the Prienbach parish church. Together, these couples have celebrated an impressive 490 years of marriage, with different wedding anniversaries ranging from silver and gold weddings to a grace wedding. From the 25 to an incredible 70 years these couples spent together, they created a warm atmosphere filled with love and gratitude. The PNP reports that four couples have even been married to each other for over 60 years!
The service was all about love and loyalty. In his sermon, Pastor Florian Schwarz discussed the acquaintance between Jesus and Peter and encouraged the couples not only to keep their love and happiness to themselves, but also to serve as role models for other couples. A special blessing was given to the celebrating couples by Pastor Schwarz, which perfectly rounded off the festive setting. The musical performance by Sidsel Friedlmeier gave the ceremony an additional celebratory character.
Social gathering after the service
After church, however, the celebration was far from over. In the EC-Stüberl Prienbach we enjoyed a delicious lunch, followed by coffee and cake. There was a lot of laughter, memories shared and anecdotes told about our years together. The atmosphere was one of joy and gratitude, and the afternoon ended in a convivial atmosphere.
In general, there are numerous reasons to celebrate weddings that evolve over the years. As a small reminder of the wedding celebrations that will take place in the first decades, here are some exciting facts: The first “cotton” wedding after a year of marriage helps couples give practical gifts, while the “silver” wedding after 25 years is about celebrating together and wearing the silver wreath. The “golden” wedding stands for 50 years, during which the rings may even be changed.
As the BZ shows, these special anniversaries are a cause for joy not only for the couple, but also for families and friends who share in these milestones. Weddings and the associated celebrations are a beautiful tradition that strengthens the bond between partners and strengthens the community around them.
Thanks to these festive get-togethers, couples can look back on many wonderful years and shape the coming ones together with love and joy. Cheers to love and long-lasting marriages!
