A tragic traffic accident occurred this morning on the A6 motorway near Schwabach, which resulted in a 60-year-old driver of a small truck losing his life. According to Fraenkischer.de, the disaster happened around 9:35 a.m. in the direction of Heilbronn when the small truck hit the end of a tractor-trailer that was standing in traffic.

The rescue workers were only able to rescue the driver dead. Large parts of the motorway in the direction of Heilbronn were immediately closed for the rescue work, which led to significant traffic delays. Around 40 firefighters as well as numerous employees from the rescue service and the technical relief organization were deployed to deal with the situation.
