Würzburg's sports festival: triathlon, culture and wine fun on June 15th!
Today, June 15, 2025, the Erlabrunn bathing lake will be transformed into a sporting center because the 16th Würzburg Triathlon is on the program. The event, which starts at 10 a.m., offers participants the opportunity to compete in various distances: everything from the everyone's distance to the Olympic distance to the middle distance is on offer. With swimming distances ranging from 300 meters for beginners to 2.1 kilometers for experienced athletes, there is something for everyone. The cycling and running routes are also excellently prepared, with a 34 km long cycling route and a 5 km running route awaiting participants in the everyone's distance.
The Triafreunde portal provides information about the individual distances: The Olympic distance includes 1.5 km of swimming, followed by 38 km of cycling and 10 km of running, while the middle distance consists of 2.1 km of swimming, 80 km of cycling and 20 km of running. To make the event even more attractive, the organizers have also carefully planned the cycling route, which leads through picturesque towns such as Zellingen and Billingshausen. Anyone interested in looking at the results and rankings can find them on the official website wuerzburg-triathlon.de.
