In Bremerhaven there was a dramatic apartment fire on Neuelandstrasse on July 18, 2025. Fortunately, the fire department was extremely professional and quickly brought the fire under control. An emotional moment occurred when firefighters rescued a frightened cat. The small animal was released unharmed.

Another fire in Bremerhaven occurred earlier in the morning on Stresemannstrasse. Two respiratory protection teams were immediately sent into the building to rescue people.

All emergency services were ready for action again shortly after 11 a.m.
