Nuremberg Airport: The most popular third place in the new ranking!

In the current analysis of the passenger lawyer Airhelp, an interesting development in the ranking of the most popular and unpopular airports in Germany is shown. According to Infranken were applied to Google reviews and the satisfaction of the travelers. A total of more than 316,000 reviews flowed into this annual analysis.

Nuremberg Airport has proven to be one of the favorites this year and reaches third place with 4.2 stars. The airport lost 0.1 stars compared to the previous year, but it recorded an increase in ratings from approx. 6417 to around 7600. This year, the first place goes to Lübeck-Blankensee Airport, which was rated 4.4 stars. The places two share the Münster-Osnabrück, Kassel-Calden and Rostock Laage airports, each of which has 4.3 stars.

On the other side of the ranking, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, which has only 2,8 stars and recorded a decrease of 0.1 stars. The Berlin-Brandenburg Airport also only makes it to tenth place with 3.2 stars and is perceived by travelers as unattractive. Overall, only one airport was able to improve its rating while eight airports fell back in the ranking.

The analysis of Airhelp not only includes the popularity of the airports, but also its international assessment. According to aero-international occupies the best German airport, Dortmund, the 32nd place worldwide. Nuremberg Airport ranks 202 worldwide, while Frankfurt cuts up to 222 with poor placement.

The Hamad International Airport in Doha leads the list of the best airports worldwide with an excellent rating of 8.52 points, followed by Cape Town in South Africa with 8.50 points and the Chubu Centrair International Airport in Japan with 8.49 points. These airports are characterized by particularly high punctuality and passenger satisfaction, whereby punctuality alone constitutes 60 percent of the overall ranking, while cleanliness and passenger opinions count 20 percent, such as Tagesschau reported.

Overall, the analysis shows that airports such as Frankfurt, which are often criticized in terms of service and waiting times, decrease in their attractiveness. This could have long -term effects on the choice of travelers when it comes to planning their flights.
