Bjarne Mädel is moving back to Hamburg – a Christmas present!

The popular TV star Bjarne Mädel, known from the hit series “The Crime Scene Cleaner”, is moving from Berlin back to his hometown of Hamburg before Christmas. After almost twenty years in the capital, he announced his move on the “NDR Talk Show” - an event that will delight many of his fans and at least the Hamburg residents of his former neighborhood. Many people were convinced that he already lived in Hamburg. In fact, he will return to familiar territory from December 22nd or 23rd to work on the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, like the MOPO reported.

Mädel, who is a passionate fan of the Hamburg sports club, also sees the move as a practical measure to make traveling to the Volksparkstadion easier. “There’s something going on,” he joked with his listeners and revealed that comedian Olli Dittrich had given him a season ticket for HSV. The anticipation of returning to the Hanseatic city is clearly noticeable, and the 57-year-old likes to remember his roots.

A new theater project and the neighborhood

In addition to returning to his homeland, Bjarne Mädel also has exciting professional news in his luggage. He will work at the theater in Hambi, which will give him the opportunity to meet old acquaintances and make new contacts. “I take it for granted that I accept packages for neighbors,” he explains, while describing himself as a quiet and “odorless” neighbor. He didn't receive any painful complaints from residents during his time in Berlin - that speaks for him!

His new film “Prange – Man is a neighbor”, in which he falls in love with a parcel delivery woman, will be released on “Das Erste” on December 10th at 8:15 p.m. The film will be available in advance in the ARD media library from December 6th. Mädel describes the film as a “touching story without being cheesy” and emphasizes the importance of neighborly interaction.

With this move to Hamburg, Bjarne Mädel associates a return to his roots, a theater project and the HSV games, which will no longer take place in another part of the city, but directly on his doorstep.
