The Hessian Football Association (HFV) is once again under criticism after a serious rule error was discovered in the draw for the Hessen Cup. The implementing regulations clearly state that the draw for the quarter-finals must be made from the eight winners of the round of 16. One club has already spoken out against a new draw, which means that the HFV's official statement is still pending, but the clubs concerned have already been informed.

A recurring problem
This glitch is not the first of its kind - there were already difficulties with a cup draw in 2024 when the live stream ended prematurely and caused confusion.
