Wishing tree in Groß-Gerau: ensure Christmas joy for children!
A special Christmas campaign will start in Groß-Gerau on October 30, 2025, which will make the hearts of the smallest city residents beat faster. The so-called “wish tree” in the foyer of the town hall is intended to bring joy especially to children aged 0 to 10 from Groß-Gerau and the surrounding districts such as Dornheim, Berkach, Wallerstädten and Nord. The aim of this initiative is to put a bright smile on the faces of families in need, especially those receiving social benefits.
Participating in this great campaign is very easy. Parents are invited to submit their children's wishes using a wish list at the information desk in the town hall by November 14, 2025 at the latest. The legal guardians must provide their contact details, such as telephone number and email address. It is important that the wishes do not exceed a maximum value of 25 euros and include age-appropriate gifts. The sizes of clothing and shoes should also be stated. The organizers ask that you avoid certain items such as vouchers or toy guns - the focus is on beautiful and meaningful gifts that are available locally or through Amazon.

If you have any questions, the organizers are available on 06152/716-5300 or by email. This warm initiative is not only spreading throughout the city, but is also reminiscent of similar projects such as the Christmas artworks from Seelenpflaster e.V., which encourage people to create creative handicrafts for children in difficult life situations. Such actions show how important it is to act together and make a contribution to the community - especially during the contemplative Christmas season.
Another example of community engagement is understanding the importance of reports like those from CARFAX Canada, which can help guide vehicle purchases by revealing a vehicle's history. Similar to the wishing tree, this reduces uncertainty and enables an informed decision to choose what is best for yourself and your family.
The Wishing Tree in Groß-Gerau is an excellent example of how local initiatives can contribute to a strong community. The interaction of various forces in the city - be it through creative campaigns or informative reports - makes it clear that in this time of anticipation of Christmas, togetherness and support for families in need are at the top of the agenda.
Take the chance to be part of this important campaign and help make Christmas an unforgettable experience for many children!
