Vaccinations and their importance
Vaccinations are a crucial factor in the fight against COVID-19. According to the data from April 2023, a total of 76.3% of the population in Germany is basic immunized. This shows that the willingness to vaccinate is very high. Here is an overview of the vaccine doses:
| Vaccine | Doses administered |
|---|---|
| Moderna | 5,143,642 |
| Biontech | 46,595,520 |
| AstraZeneca | 9,272,833 |
| Janssen | 3,711,740 |
| Novavax | 72,005 |
Vaccination remains key to fighting the pandemic, and over 64 million people have already received at least one shot. The vaccination rate is therefore 77.9%.
As the World Health Organization summarizes, although most infected people show mild symptoms, serious health problems can never be completely ruled out. Symptoms such as difficulty breathing or chest pain require immediate medical attention; not to mention that some people also report difficulty with their sense of smell or taste. It is therefore important to remain vigilant and consult a doctor at the slightest signs of infection.
The pandemic has taught us the importance of hygiene, social responsibility and caution. Let us continue to look after each other and not jeopardize the successes we have already achieved!
