Family history revitalized: Ninone shines in fresh splendor!
Something exciting is happening for retailers in Offenbach! The traditional boutique Ninone is reopening on Hugenottenplatz, and it has a very special history. The boutique is now run by Tanja Ronaghi, who takes over the business from her mother Susan Ghods. After 33 years in the family business, Tanja wants to continue the family tradition and has worked hard to achieve this. The city's support through the test room fund, which promotes innovative store concepts in the city center, was particularly helpful. According to offenbach.de, Tanja presented her concept to a jury and thus received the green light for her plans.
That's not all, Tanja is planning a fresh mix of her own collection and high-quality pieces from local brands under the name “Ninone by Tanja Ronaghi”. Some brands from their mother's range will also be taken over in order not to lose the existing customer base. Another goal of the new business owner is to appeal to younger customers through various events. To properly celebrate this new beginning, a special sale starts on November 1st with discounts of 10-50%!
Support from the test room fund
On June 19, the city of Offenbach launched a new funding program to support innovative retail concepts. This program is part of the “Testraum-Allee” project, which aims to counteract the threat of vacancies in the city center. The municipality plans to permanently establish four new stores in the city center area by the end of 2025. According to of-news.de, the funding program includes rent subsidies, communication support and advice from architects and local partners.
The test room fund provides Tanja Ronaghi with monthly rental subsidies of 500 euros, up to a maximum of 6,000 euros for 12 months. There is also a one-off grant of up to 5,000 euros for equipment and renovation work. Rudolf Walter, the landlord of the retail space, supports the successor and is planning a comprehensive modernization of the space. The creative design for this comes from a renowned office called Design in Architektur from Darmstadt.
A look into the future
The anticipation of the new opening in February is already noticeable. By then, the store will shine in new splendor after a renovation. Tanja Ronaghi has clearly positioned herself with her personal approach and the inclusion of local brands: “I want customers of all ages to find a favorite place with us,” she explains. Anyone interested can find information about the funding and everything about the new opening on the Instagram channel @zukunft_of_innenstadt and the city website.
When new shops spring up in Offenbach, it's always a good sign for the local economy. One can only hope that the test room fund and the innovative strength of young entrepreneurs like Tanja will help revitalize the city center and improve the shopping experience for everyone.
