On June 16, 2025, there was a special atmosphere in the Schwarzenberg Stadium in Großalmerode. The walking soccer tournament, which took place as part of the preliminary program for the local festival, attracted numerous spectators and created a great atmosphere. The tournament ended with an exciting seven-meter shootout, in which the team from the Großalmerode Volunteer Fire Department's music band secured victory. The entire event was coordinated by a group of dedicated helpers, led by Thomas Simon and Patrick Krauss, who, together with around 24 other supporters, ensured that everything ran smoothly.
The referees – Torsten Becker, Andreas Stenzel, Tom Verwiebe and Julian Alt – kept a close eye on the action and ensured that everything was fair. The good mood and the anticipation of the upcoming local festival, which will take place on June 26, 2025, were noticeable in the city.
