A dramatic traffic accident claimed the lives of two young men on Saturday evening, September 6th, 2025, on the L 3276 road near Schmitten im Taunus. At around 7:54 p.m., a Porsche left the road at high speed and crashed violently into two trees. The impact was so brutal that the vehicle broke into two pieces tagesschau.de reported.
The victims were a 29-year-old driver from Frankfurt and his 30-year-old passenger. While the driver had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries, the passenger could only be rescued from the wreckage dead. The fire brigade was deployed to free the occupants from the demolished vehicle. The driver's condition deteriorated in hospital and he died shortly afterwards, as did the Frankfurter Rundschau reported.
