Raiffeisenbank honors northern district associations: award winners and highlights!

Today, November 1st, 2025, everything revolved around volunteering in the Nordlandkreis when the Raiffeisenbank Isar-Loisachtal awarded ten outstanding clubs with a sponsorship award. The award ceremony, which brought together around 40 guests, set an example for the commitment in the region, which extends across the entire diversity of the club world.

The jury's work was impressive, selecting the best projects from 22 applications. The jurors included the mayor of Wolfratshausen, Klaus Heilinglechner, and the chairman of the BLSV and the district youth association, Renato Wittstadt. Their commitment shows how important it is to recognize and promote volunteer work.

Award winners in focus

First place went to the neighborhood help group “KindErNetz” from Schäftlarn, which received prize money of 2,500 euros for its work with children with a migrant background and socially disadvantaged families. This is not only a financial incentive, but also a huge motivational boost for the volunteers who work to help the socially disadvantaged.

But other winners could also be proud of their achievements. Second place went to the neighborhood help group “Citizens for Citizens” from Wolfratshausen, which was awarded 1,500 euros and an additional jury prize of 500 euros. The Ammerland water rescue service secured third place and received 1,000 euros. The prize money was used for many important projects. It is particularly pleasing that smaller organizations also received support of 250 euros each, including:

  • Förderverein First Responder in der Gemeinde Berg
  • Freiwillige Feuerwehr Neufahrn l. d. Isar
  • DLRG-Ortsverband Geretsried
  • 1. FC Weidach
  • Musikwerkstatt Jugend
  • Musikinstitut Icking
  • Jagdkreisgruppe Wolfratshausen

Volunteers in Germany

The funding award, which was launched in 2023, is awarded to support projects that are actively committed to the well-being of other people. Such commitments can also be found in similar initiatives nationwide. For example, the Potsdam Large Orphanage Foundation Annual prizes for daycare and school support associations in Brandenburg since 2016. Such awards are essential to promote projects that involve young people in decision-making processes and support their participation.

So there is no doubt: civil society engagement is very popular and deserves attention. The awarding of the sponsorship award is a good step in the right direction. Who knows, maybe this event will inspire others to get involved in their community.
